Austin Patrick Cook January 2, 1992 – May 25, 2016
Hopes and dreams surrounded Austin Cook at his 2010 graduation from Iowa Grant High School. A recipient of the IGEF Robert & Martha Klindt Memorial Scholarship, Austin was off to UWMadison to pursue his passion and to learn all he could about software and computers. He later transferred to UWPlatteville, earning his degree in computer science and putting his ‘new skills and knowledge’ into practice, working as a software technician at Esterline/AVISTA. Unfortunately in 2016, Austin’s life was cut short by a sudden illness. Gone but not forgotten. Austin is remembered annually at the IG Senior Awards and Scholarship Recognition program through a memorial scholarship established by his mother, family and friends. What a great tribute to a young man, accomplished through giving, so that other IG graduates can pursue their hopes and dreams.Austin Patrick Cook, 24, of Montfort, Wisconsin, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 after a short illness at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison.
